Paul serves as president of Hitachi Capital America Technology Finance, formerly known as Global Technology Finance. The company was originally formed in 1998 while Paul was COO/CFO at Sarcom, a $700 million-plus national revenue provider of technology products and services.
Having been a solution provider, Paul understands the typical constraints of the technology partner and developed the program that is the basis of the company’s current success. Hitachi Capital America Technology Finance’s main focus continues to be VAR, logistic, telecom, and diversity partners who sell and/or manage technology. Under Paul’s direction, the company has funded more than $11 billion, secured 560+ vendor partner relationships, and has financed more than 6,000 end users.
Paul earned his BA from Colgate University, participated in the Oxford University and London School of Economics program, and has an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business.
Steve Weislogel serves as Hitachi Capital America Technology Finance’s Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. He joined the company, previously known as Global Technology Finance, in 1999 and brought significant experience in finance and operations and a disciplined risk-based approach to transaction flow and processes. He and his Ohio-based team are responsible for the relationships with Hitachi’s technology partners, vendor partners, financial institutions, outside auditors, and management committee.
Prior to Hitachi Capital America Technology Finance and Global Technology Finance, Weislogel was a risk advisor for Banc One Corporation. During his time there, Weislogel served as a positive change agent where he was responsible for key risk areas including rate risk management, Y2K, national consolidations/conversions, overdraft processes, and data security. He also spent four years at Ernst & Young LLP, where he was specifically chosen by management and charged with the responsibility of re-engineering the firm’s audit approach through the integration of people, processes, and technology.
Steve earned his BS in accountancy from Miami University. He is active in the local community and is engaged supporting his children’s sports and other activities.
As Vice President of Credit, Al Kralik is responsible for helping customers reduce bad debt risk and lower DSO, or days sales outstanding. He reviews A/R accounts and helps managers resolve A/R past due issues. In some cases, he monitors the managers’ purchases and initiates payment to vendors.
Kralik has worked in the reseller business since 1986, employed at several companies including Basicomputer, The Future Now, Telxon, and Sarcom. At each of these companies, he helped develop and implement special programs for sales, staff, and customers to better understand and meet company goals.
Al earned his BA in political science from Kent State University. In his off time, he enjoys gardening, reading, and all types of sports.
